## Exam Cancellations Lead to Unique Assessment

In 2026, UAE students faced an unprecedented A-Level exam season as traditional exams were canceled due to regional conflicts. Instead, students were evaluated through a Portfolio of Evidence, which included coursework and internal assessments.

## Outstanding Results Across UAE Schools

Despite the challenges, UAE schools reported exceptional results. Jebel Ali School saw 54% of its A-Level entries achieve A*–A grades, with a 100% pass rate. Similarly, Dubai British School Emirates Hills reported 55% of entries at A*–A, maintaining a perfect pass rate.

Repton Al Barsha celebrated its first A-Level cohort with 50% of entries achieving A*–A grades. Repton Dubai and Repton Abu Dhabi also reported strong performances, with many students securing spots at prestigious universities.

## Brighton College Achievements

Brighton College Abu Dhabi achieved 63% A*–A grades, with notable success in subjects like Biology and Mathematics. Brighton College Al Ain and Dubai also reported high percentages of top grades, with Al Ain achieving a 100% pass rate.

## Horizon International School Success

Horizon International School students exceeded expectations, with 44% achieving A*–A grades. The school reported an average of 1.57 grades above expected outcomes, highlighting the students' resilience and dedication.
