## A Family's Generous Gesture
During a regional conflict that disrupted air travel in the Middle East, hundreds of travelers found themselves unexpectedly stranded in the UAE. In response, an Indian family residing in the UAE took a remarkable step to assist those in need.
Dhiraj Jain and Mamata Dhiraj Jain, along with their children Jainam and Jivika, opened their private retreat, Jainam Jivika Farm in Ajman, to over 300 stranded travelers. This act of kindness was rooted in Indian cultural values that emphasize hospitality and the belief that the world is one family.
## Creating a Community
The family transformed their farm into a welcoming refuge, where strangers from various countries came together. Mamata ensured that meals were prepared with the same care as she would for her own family, while Jainam and Jivika organized activities like games and movie nights to lift spirits.
Dhiraj also arranged for medical support to cater to the diverse needs of their guests, who ranged from infants to the elderly. Over time, the lines between hosts and guests blurred, creating a community bonded by compassion and shared experiences.
## A Lasting Impact
This initiative took on special significance during the UAE’s Year of Family, highlighting the idea that family extends beyond blood ties and national borders. For many travelers, the experience at the farm became a cherished memory of warmth and hospitality, overshadowing the initial disruption they faced.
