UAE traffic alert: Heavy congestion hits Deira, Dubai Airport and Sharjah routes

## Major Congestion Areas

Commuters in Dubai and Sharjah are experiencing significant traffic delays, particularly in Deira, near Dubai International Airport, and along routes towards Sharjah. Traffic is notably heavy on the Al Rigga-Deira corridor and roads surrounding the Dubai Gold Souk, with stop-and-go conditions reported.

## Affected Roads

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road near Muhaisnah and Al Rashidiya is facing substantial delays. Congestion is also affecting the area around Arabian Centre and the junction of Al Khail Road with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. In Sharjah, heavy traffic is reported on S121 near the Ajman Industrial Area and SAIF Zone, as well as on S116 near Al Khawaneej.

## Moderate Delays

Drivers on Al Khail Road through Al Quoz and Al Barsha, and those traveling around Warsan and Dubai Silicon Oasis, should anticipate moderate delays. Parts of Sharjah's industrial areas, specifically along S117 and S120, are also experiencing slower traffic.

## Smoother Routes

Traffic is moving more smoothly on sections of Sheikh Zayed Road through Jumeirah, Palm Jumeirah, and Al Barsha. The E611, E66, and E77 routes are generally less congested. Areas like Academic City and Liwan, as well as parts of Sharjah's E311 corridor south of the city center, are also seeing lighter traffic.

## Traffic Incidents

Traffic incident markers are visible near Al Khan/Sahara Centre, Muhaisnah, and Dubai Design District, potentially contributing to delays. Motorists are advised to use live navigation services to stay updated on traffic conditions, especially when traveling through heavily congested areas.
