## Air Connectivity Key to Recovery
Dubai's tourism sector is poised for a rebound in the latter half of 2026, driven by the restoration of international air connectivity. Airlines are gradually resuming services after disruptions earlier this year, which had impacted passenger numbers and hotel demand.
## Winter Season Boost
The winter travel season is expected to further enhance hotel occupancy rates. The Dubai Hospitality Market Performance report anticipates occupancy levels to reach between 60.4% and 66.2% by year-end, with average daily rates ranging from Dh600 to Dh675.
## Long-Term Outlook
Ferras Hafez from Cavendish Maxwell highlights that the recovery hinges on both air connectivity and traveler confidence. Despite current challenges, the long-term growth prospects for Dubai's hospitality sector remain strong, supported by a diverse tourism offering.
## Hotel Expansion
Dubai continues to expand its hotel capacity, with 39 new hotels and approximately 9,520 rooms planned between 2026 and 2029. This year alone, around 3,150 rooms are expected to be completed.
## Confidence Measures
UAE airlines have introduced measures to boost traveler confidence, including travel cover and complimentary medical insurance. Government initiatives have also provided financial relief to the hospitality sector, aiming to stimulate visitor demand.
