The apps cover a range of societal challenges. "Sakhi," developed by Karan Kumar and Arpita Gupta, is a menstrual health app offering cycle tracking and emergency assistance. "AutiCare," by Sudhanshu Kumar and Sourabh Singh, aids in early autism screening for parents. "ToyVista," created by Madhav Sharma and Ansh Kalra, uses augmented reality to enhance the toy shopping experience. "PrepLoop," led by Shams Tabrej Alam, provides AI-driven interview preparation.

## Empowering First-Generation Students

Many participants in the program are first-generation college students, some from farming backgrounds or small towns. The program equips them with essential tools and mentorship, enabling them to transform ideas into functional software.

## Hands-On Learning Approach

The curriculum integrates Swift and Xcode into practical coursework, allowing students to progress from coding to deploying real apps. This approach has led to an increase in Apple Swift Student Challenge wins, from 10 in 2025 to 18 in 2026.
