## Dispute Over Don 3 Exit
Ranveer Singh's departure from the film "Don 3" has led to a significant dispute involving a Rs 45 crore claim by Excel Entertainment. The actor's father, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, has formally contested this claim with the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA).
## Meeting with IMPPA
Bhavnani recently met with IMPPA officials to present documents and evidence supporting his son's case. The association's legal team is now reviewing these submissions to determine a resolution that satisfies both parties.
## Background of the Dispute
The conflict began when Ranveer Singh withdrew from "Don 3" just weeks before filming was set to begin. Initially announced in August 2023, Singh was to take over the lead role from Shah Rukh Khan. However, after the success of another film, "Dhurandhar," Singh decided to step away from the project.
## Industry Reactions
Following Singh's exit, Excel Entertainment approached the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), which initially issued a non-cooperation order against Singh. This order was later retracted after industry bodies intervened, citing the potential job losses from halting a Ranveer Singh film.
## Current Status
With both sides having presented their cases to IMPPA, the association is now tasked with reviewing all evidence before deciding on the next steps. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh has remained silent on the issue, focusing on his current project, "Pralay."
