## Tennis Legends Join Forces

Serena Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, and Carlos Alcaraz, ranked second in the world, are set to compete together in the US Open mixed doubles. This marks Williams' return to the US Open since 2022, and she will be playing alongside Alcaraz, a seven-time Slam singles winner.

## Wildcard Entry

The duo received one of the final wildcard entries into the mixed doubles main draw. Other wildcard recipients include Czech players Karolina Muchova and Jakub Mensik, as well as Americans Emma Navarro and Tommy Paul.

## Tournament Details

The mixed doubles competition is scheduled to start on Tuesday and conclude by Wednesday at the National Tennis Center. The main US Open tournament will begin on August 30.

## Changes in Pairings

Due to withdrawals, some players have been re-paired. Americans Jessica Pegula and Taylor Fritz will now team up after their original partners, Jack Draper and Elena Rybakina, withdrew. Diana Shnaider is also seeking a new partner following Daniil Medvedev's withdrawal.
