Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has initiated a 30-day inspection campaign for school buses to ensure safety as the new academic year begins on August 31. This initiative includes thorough checks on buses and verification of driver and attendant permits to ensure compliance with safety standards.

## Increased Transport Options

To provide more flexibility for parents, RTA is expanding transport options with additional taxis and increased bus frequency in school zones. Services like Careem School Rides and Uber Teens are being supported, offering high-safety-rated drivers and modern vehicles. The School Ride Pooling initiative in Al Barsha is also available, allowing students to share rides.

## Enhanced Public Transport

RTA is boosting the frequency of over 30 bus routes in key areas such as Al Nahda and Dubai Silicon Oasis to improve service during peak school hours. Students can also benefit from a 50% discount on public transport services through the student nol Card.
