Abu Dhabi Finance Week to return in December as UAE capital targets bigger role in global finance

## Event Overview

Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) is scheduled to take place from December 7 to 10, marking its fifth edition. The event will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and hosted by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) on Al Maryah Island.

## Global Participation

The event will gather financial leaders managing over $62 trillion in assets. It will feature more than 60 themed events, over 300 sessions, and more than 750 speakers from around the globe. Discussions will focus on key areas such as artificial intelligence, digital assets, sustainable finance, and the future of global investment flows.

## Strategic Focus

This year's theme, "Engineering the Capital Ecosystem," highlights Abu Dhabi's strategy to integrate finance, AI, and digital assets into its economic diversification plans. The event aims to position Abu Dhabi as a leading hub for wealth management, fintech, and institutional investment.

## Sustainable Finance and Capital Flows

Sustainable finance will be a major focus, with sessions on green bonds and climate finance. The event will also explore cross-border investment opportunities, bringing together sovereign wealth funds, global asset managers, banks, and fintech companies.

## Growth and Impact

Since its inception in 2022, ADFW has grown significantly, reflecting the rapid expansion of ADGM. The 2024 edition attracted over 20,000 participants and saw the signing of 44 memoranda of understanding. This growth underscores Abu Dhabi's ambition to become a leading international financial center.
