Founder and Partner Visa in the UAE
This visa is intended for shareholders of companies registered in the UAE — both on the mainland and in free economic zones. The main condition is that your name must be officially listed in the founding documents as a co-owner of the business.
Types of Visas
- Investor Visa — if you are the sole founder.
- Partner Visa — if the company has two or more co-founders.
- Both visas grant the same resident rights and fall under the investor visa category.
Conditions and Features
- Visa validity — 2 years.
- Documents: passport, photo, contact details, company charter documents.
- No diploma required.
- Capital for Mainland companies: legally from 75,000 AED, practically from 50,000 AED.
- No minimum capital requirements in Free Zone.
Processing Times
- 3–4 working days — for Mainland companies.
- 6–10 working days — for Free Zone companies.
Important to KnowThe visa is directly linked to the company's license. If it is terminated or liquidated, the visa is canceled. Canceling the visa is more complicated than obtaining it. For changing the visa type (e.g., to Golden Visa), proper legal support is required.
