## Strong Financial Performance
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has announced an 8% rise in net profit for the first half of 2026, reaching Dh3.8 billion. This growth is attributed to increased customer financing and higher revenue across both retail and wholesale sectors.
## Revenue and Customer Growth
The bank's revenue grew by 9% year-on-year to Dh6.5 billion, supported by the addition of 125,000 new customers and increased business volumes. Gross customer financing saw a significant 26% increase, amounting to Dh43 billion compared to the same period last year.
## Asset and Deposit Milestones
ADIB's total assets surpassed Dh300 billion for the first time, reaching Dh304 billion, marking a 17% increase from the previous year. Customer deposits also rose by 15% to Dh246 billion, with current and savings accounts making up 64% of total deposits.
## Operational Efficiency
Operating expenses increased by 12% to Dh1.9 billion due to investments in technology and business expansion. However, the cost-to-income ratio improved to 28.3% in the second quarter.
## Asset Quality and Risk Management
The bank's non-performing asset ratio fell to a record low of 2.2%, with provision coverage excluding collateral rising to 108.1%. Impairment charges remained stable at Dh301 million, maintaining a cost of risk at 33 basis points.
## Leadership Comments
ADIB's leadership highlighted the bank's strong funding and liquidity position, disciplined risk management, and continued market share gains as key factors in its robust performance. The bank's return on equity stood at 28% for the first half of the year.
