Two Pakistan cricketers fined after first Test against West Indies

## ICC Sanctions Abbas and Shahzad

Pakistan's fast bowlers Mohammad Abbas and Khurram Shahzad have been fined by the International Cricket Council (ICC) following the first Test against the West Indies in Tarouba. Both players breached Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which addresses inappropriate language or gestures that could provoke a reaction from a batter.

Khurram Shahzad was penalized 15% of his match fee and received one demerit point for celebrating too closely to Shai Hope during the 17th over of the West Indies' second innings. ## West Indies Triumph in First Test

The West Indies emerged victorious with a 90-run win, taking a 1-0 lead in the series. Pakistan, needing 211 runs to win, collapsed to 71-9, with Jayden Seales taking 5-20. Despite a valiant effort from captain Babar Azam, who remained unbeaten on 58, and a late partnership with Abbas, Pakistan's innings ended at 120.
