## Introduction of 'My Syria' App

A group of Syrian entrepreneurs based in the UAE have introduced 'My Syria', a comprehensive app designed to enhance tourism in Syria. This platform integrates hotel bookings, transport, lifestyle services, and digital payments, aiming to simplify travel for both international visitors and locals.

## Inspiration and Development

The app was developed by 121 Living, a Dubai-based holiday homes company, and launched by Rami Kaiem, Feras Kaiem, Waseem Qudmani, and Kinan Madi. Drawing inspiration from Dubai's technological advancements, the founders sought to replicate the UAE's service delivery model in Syria. The app's concept was influenced by successful UAE-born companies like Careem.

## Digital Payment Integration

A standout feature of 'My Syria' is its digital payment system, marking the first time such a service is available in Syria. It supports various international payment methods, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, facilitating seamless transactions for users.

## Initial Launch and Expansion Plans

Currently available on iOS and Android, the app initially focuses on Damascus, offering services like hotel bookings, airport transfers, and car rentals. The founders plan to expand the app's offerings to over 40 services and extend its reach to other Syrian cities based on demand.

## Tourism Recovery in Syria

The launch coincides with a resurgence in Syria's tourism sector. In the first half of 2026, the country saw a significant increase in visitor numbers, with international arrivals growing by 448% compared to the previous year. The return of international flights has further supported this recovery.

## Future Outlook

As tourism in Syria continues to recover, the founders of 'My Syria' believe that digital services will play a crucial role in meeting the needs of the growing number of visitors. They aim to provide comprehensive travel solutions, making it easier for tourists to plan and enjoy their trips in Syria.
