e& H1 revenue climbs 11.6% to Dh38.1b as subscriber base tops 251 million

## Revenue and Profit Growth

The Abu Dhabi-based telecom and technology group, e&, announced a significant revenue increase of 11.6% for the first half of 2026, reaching Dh38.1 billion. The company's EBITDA also rose by 13.1% to Dh17.7 billion, with a margin of 46.5%. Net profit for the period was Dh6 billion, marking a 2.4% increase after accounting for previous one-off gains.

## Subscriber Expansion

e& experienced a substantial rise in its subscriber base, which grew by 30.4% year-on-year to 251.5 million. In the UAE alone, the subscriber count increased by 6.4% to 16.5 million. This growth is attributed to the rising demand for digital services and AI-powered solutions.

## Strategic Portfolio Adjustments

The company completed a strategic review of its international investments, resulting in the sale of its entire stake in Vodafone Group Plc and a partial sale in Careem Technologies. These transactions generated significant cash proceeds, enhancing e&'s financial position.

## Future Outlook

Chairman Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Alzaabi emphasized the group's commitment to leading the digital future and maximizing shareholder value. CEO Masood M. Sharif Mahmood highlighted the company's resilience in facing regional and global challenges, focusing on investing in digital infrastructure and AI-enhanced services.
