UAE prepares 150 Emirati scholarship students for studies abroad

## Orientation Forum for Scholarship Students

The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research recently organized an orientation forum for 150 Emirati students set to study abroad under the National Scholarship Programme. The event, themed "From the UAE to the World… Determination and Ambition," aimed to prepare students and their families for the academic journey ahead.

## Support and Guidance

During the forum, students were introduced to the various academic, administrative, and personal support systems available to them. Senior officials, education authorities, and strategic partners attended, emphasizing the importance of aligning studies with the UAE's development goals.

## Role of Families and Officials

Dr. Ahmed Sultan Al Shuaibi, Undersecretary of the Ministry, highlighted the significance of the scholarship programme in nurturing national talent. He stressed that students represent the UAE's values and identity abroad and assured them of the ministry's ongoing support.

## Scholarship Programme Details

The programme has received 2,767 applications this year, awarding scholarships to 244 students so far. Currently, 596 students are studying in 22 countries, focusing on fields crucial to the UAE's development, such as engineering, technology, and medicine.

## Partnerships and Future Opportunities

The ministry has partnered with 11 national organizations to offer 160 scholarships in priority fields, aiming to align students' qualifications with future career opportunities. An updated scholarship framework now emphasizes nationally important fields and provides comprehensive support from admission to graduation.
