## Key Dates

For the 2026-2027 school year, classes will commence on August 31, 2026. The mid-term break is scheduled from October 12 to October 18, with the winter break from December 14, 2026, to January 3, 2027. The spring break will occur from April 5 to April 11, 2027, and the academic year will end on July 2, 2027.

In the 2027-2028 academic year, students will start on August 30, 2027. The mid-term break is from October 11 to October 17, and the winter break from December 13, 2027, to January 2, 2028. Spring break is set for March 27 to April 2, 2028, with the year concluding on June 30, 2028.

For 2028-2029, classes begin on August 28, 2028. The mid-term break will be from October 16 to October 22, and the winter break from December 11, 2028, to January 1, 2029. The spring break is planned for March 26 to April 1, 2029, with the school year ending on June 29, 2029.

## Compliance and Flexibility

Schools must adhere to these dates, particularly the mid-term breaks. However, private schools not following the national curriculum may adjust the mid-term break between October and February, provided it does not exceed five days. This flexibility is not applicable to private schools in Sharjah.

## Special Considerations

The calendar does not apply to private schools with different curricula, such as Indian, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani systems. Schools are required to conduct final assessments or complete curriculum requirements during the last week of each term to ensure full attendance.
