The United Arab Emirates' Operation Gallant Knight 3 has reached a significant milestone, marking 1,000 days of continuous humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Initiated on November 5, 2023, under the guidance of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the operation underscores the UAE's commitment to providing relief during crises.

## Extensive Aid and Support

Over the course of the operation, the UAE has delivered more than $3.89 billion in aid, including over 126,000 tonnes of essential supplies such as food and medical aid. This assistance has been transported through a combination of over 770 flights, 25 ships, and 13,000 trucks, overcoming numerous logistical challenges.

## Healthcare Initiatives

Healthcare has been a central focus, with the UAE establishing field hospitals and medical centers in Gaza and Al Arish, Egypt. These facilities have treated over 230,000 patients, offering surgeries and specialized care. The "Birds of Goodness" initiative has also conducted 81 airdrop missions, delivering over 4,000 tonnes of supplies to hard-to-reach areas.

## Sustainable Development Programs

Beyond immediate relief, the operation has implemented sustainable initiatives, such as automated bakeries for food security, desalination plants for clean water, and support for healthcare and education sectors. The "Step of Hope" initiative has provided prosthetic limbs and rehabilitation services, enhancing the quality of life for many.
