## EFG Hermes Achieves Top Brokerage Ranking
EFG Hermes, a prominent investment bank in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has secured the top position in brokerage across five MENA markets during the first half of 2026. The firm achieved this feat by leading the Egyptian Exchange, Boursa Kuwait, the Dubai Financial Market, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, and Nasdaq Dubai. This accomplishment highlights EFG Hermes' commitment to enhancing capital markets in the region.
## Market Performance and Growth
In the UAE, EFG Hermes dominated all three exchanges, securing a 48.52% market share on the Dubai Financial Market, 38.92% on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, and 65.69% on Nasdaq Dubai. Overall, the firm achieved a 42.87% market share in the UAE, rising from second place in the previous year.
In Kuwait, EFG Hermes improved its market share to 41.56%, moving from second to first place. On Nasdaq Dubai, the firm's market share increased significantly to 65.69%, up from 20.59% in the previous year. In Egypt, EFG Hermes maintained its leadership with a 29.60% market share.
## Strategic Investments and Future Focus
Ahmed Waly, Group Head of Brokerage at EFG Hermes, emphasized the firm's investment in technology, execution quality, and client relationships as key factors in their success. The firm has advanced its electronic and algorithmic trading capabilities and expanded its stock borrowing and lending offerings.
EFG Hermes also secured a top-10 position in Saudi Arabia, with a market share of 6.53%, reflecting its strengthening presence in the Kingdom. The firm continues to focus on expanding access and improving execution efficiency across MENA markets.
