## Recruitment Milestone Achieved
The Sharjah government is on track to surpass its goal of hiring over 3,000 Emiratis by 2026. As of July, 1,524 Emirati citizens have been recruited, marking significant progress in the emirate's employment strategy.
## Leadership and Strategy
Under the guidance of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the recruitment drive has been robust. Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Human Resources, confirmed that these appointments occurred between January 5 and July 30.
## Gender and Sector Distribution
The new hires include 831 men and 693 women, with 871 positions filled in central government entities and 653 in decentralized bodies. This distribution reflects a balanced approach to gender and sector representation.
## Future Plans
Efforts to recruit more Emiratis will continue, with applications already in process. The initiative underscores Sharjah's dedication to enhancing Emiratisation in the public sector, providing more opportunities for national talent.
