## Match Details

The first Test is scheduled to take place at the Galle International Cricket Stadium from August 15 to 19. Following this, the series will continue in Colombo at the SSC Ground from August 23 to 27.

## Preparations

Ahead of the series, India will engage in a three-day warm-up match at the NCC Grounds in Colombo starting August 7. This match replaces the originally planned four-day fixture.

Currently, India holds the fifth position in the ICC Test rankings, while Sri Lanka is in sixth place. This series is crucial for both teams as they aim to improve their standings in the early stages of the World Test Championship cycle.
