## Crypto Payments at Dubai Airports

Dubai Duty Free has launched a new payment option allowing eligible UAE residents to use cryptocurrency for purchases. This service is available at Dubai International Airport, Al Maktoum International Airport, and online.

## How It Works

Customers can pay using Crypto.com Pay by scanning a QR code at checkout. The payment is processed through the Crypto.com App, and the transaction is completed in UAE dirhams. This system is integrated with Dubai Duty Free's existing point-of-sale infrastructure.

## Exclusive to UAE Residents

The crypto payment option is limited to UAE residents who are eligible under Crypto.com's regulated payment platform. This initiative follows a partnership between Dubai Duty Free and Crypto.com to explore blockchain-based payment solutions.

## Regulatory Compliance

Crypto.com is the first Virtual Asset Service Provider in the UAE to receive a Stored Value Facilities licence from the Central Bank, allowing it to offer regulated payment services. This adds to existing payment methods at Dubai Duty Free, such as Apple Pay and Alipay.
