ADX adds 30,000 new investors in H1, dividends hit Dh49.9 billion

## New Investor Growth

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) experienced significant growth in the first half of 2026, adding over 30,000 new investors. This marks a 7.1% increase compared to the previous year. Notably, 77% of these new investors were from foreign countries, highlighting the exchange's growing international appeal.

## Dividend and Trading Activity

During this period, ADX distributed dividends totaling Dh49.9 billion. The exchange's market capitalization reached Dh2.8 trillion by the end of June, supported by a trading value of Dh171 billion. Trading volume increased by 3.7% year-on-year, with 50.3 billion shares traded, and the average daily traded volume rose by 9% to 423 million shares.

## Institutional and Foreign Participation

Institutional investors played a major role, accounting for 78% of the total trading value. Net positive institutional inflows were Dh1.4 billion, a 13.7% increase from the previous year. Foreign investors contributed to 48% of the trading value, while UAE nationals increased their share to 52%.

## Market Expansion and Innovations

ADX continued to enhance its market infrastructure and expand access for international investors. HSBC became the first foreign General Clearing Member, and Morgan Stanley joined as the first international remote trading participant. The exchange also introduced new investment options, including four new listings and two dual-listed exchange-traded funds from the New York Stock Exchange.

## Strategic Partnerships and Developments

The exchange expanded its cross-border links through investor roadshows and partnerships, including a Letter of Intent with Borsa Italiana. The Amman Stock Exchange was integrated into the Tabadul network, and ADX partnered with FINTECH.TV to establish a financial news studio within the exchange.
