More than 27,000 Chevrolet vehicles recalled in Saudi Arabia over airbag risk

## Recall Details

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Commerce has initiated a recall of more than 27,000 Chevrolet vehicles. The recall is due to a defect in the driver-side airbag inflator, which could potentially release metal fragments into the cabin during a crash, posing a serious risk of injury or death.

## Affected Models

The recall affects 27,360 vehicles, specifically Chevrolet Trax models from 2010 to 2017, Cruze models from 2012 to 2018, and Aveo models from 2010 to 2017. Vehicle owners are encouraged to verify if their car is part of the recall by checking their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the Recalls.sa platform.

## Safety Measures

Owners of the impacted vehicles are advised to contact General Motors, Aljomaih Automotive Company, or Universal Motors Agencies to schedule the necessary repairs at no cost. This recall is part of Saudi Arabia's consumer safety initiative, which aims to address manufacturing defects that could compromise vehicle safety.
