## Tournament Overview
Abu Dhabi is set to host the prestigious NextGen EuroLeague U18 basketball tournament from February 27 to March 1. The event will take place at the Space42 Arena, featuring eight top European teams. The winner will earn a spot at the adidas NextGen Finals during the EuroLeague Final Four in Athens.
## Competing Teams
The tournament will showcase defending champions U18 Zalgiris Kaunas and record-holders U18 Real Madrid. Other participants include U18 Aris Thessaloniki, U18 AS Monaco, U18 Dubai Basketball, U18 Next Gen Team Abu Dhabi, U18 London Lions, and U18 Valencia Basket. U18 Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana has already secured a place in the Finals after winning the Ulm event.
## Tournament Format
Teams will be divided into two groups of four, competing in a round-robin format. The top team from each group will advance to the championship game on March 1, while other matches will determine final standings.
## Team Histories
Aris Thessaloniki is participating for the third time, having finished seventh in Munich last season. Dubai Basketball is also in its third campaign, aiming to improve on last season's eighth-place finish. Monaco returns for its second appearance after finishing last in Paris 2024.
Real Madrid, a powerhouse with five continental titles, seeks to recover from a third-place finish in Munich last season. London Lions make their debut, while Valencia Basket, in its 10th appearance, aims to build on its second-place finish in Munich last year. Zalgiris, a consistent participant, looks to defend its title after winning in Abu Dhabi last summer.
