## UAE's Response to Allegations
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has firmly rejected accusations made by a Sudanese conflict party at the United Nations Human Rights Council. The UAE's Deputy Permanent Representative, Shahad Matar, addressed these claims during the 61st session of the Council in Geneva.
## Accusations and Rebuttal
Matar criticized the Sudanese party for attempting to lecture on the rule of law while being accused of war crimes against its own citizens. She highlighted the party's history of obstructing peace efforts and committing human rights violations, including attacks on civilian infrastructure and summary executions.
## Concerns Over Extremism
The UAE representative also expressed concerns about the Sudanese party's links to extremism, emphasizing the need for impartial investigations and accountability. The UAE's stance reflects broader international worries about the situation in Sudan.
