## Major Traffic Delays on Emirates Road
Commuters between Dubai and Sharjah faced significant delays on Thursday morning due to multiple accidents on Emirates Road (E611). The crashes, particularly near Wadi Al Safa 5, caused traffic to slow to a crawl, impacting the morning rush hour.
## Impact on Surrounding Areas
The traffic congestion extended into nearby areas, with delays reaching as far south as Wadi Al Safa 7. Al Qudra Road also experienced slow-moving traffic as a result of the incidents.
## Inner-City Dubai Affected
Within Dubai, areas such as Al Qusais Industrial Area were heavily impacted, with vehicles moving slowly throughout the morning. Motorists on Sheikh Rashid Road and Al Ittihad Road (E11) reported sluggish conditions, particularly between Al Nahda and the city center. Al Quds Street and Damascus Street also saw significant slowdowns.
## Sharjah Traffic Woes
In Sharjah, heavy traffic was reported on Al Wahda Road through Al Khalidiya and on Al Taawun Street. The Sharjah Ring Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) were congested, as were sections of Emirates Road near Al Badee.
## RTA Advisory
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) advised motorists to plan for extra travel time and consider alternative routes where possible to avoid the worst of the delays.
