Motorists traveling between University City and the Institutes Land area can now use two lanes in each direction along a stretch starting at Industrial Area 17, crossing University Bridge, and ending at University City. However, drivers heading from Industrial Area 17 towards Maliha Road will encounter a partial closure and need to follow a signposted diversion.

Those visiting Sharjah English School, Nesto Hypermarket, and other nearby locations must use alternative routes provided by the Authority. The changes are part of the Etihad Rail Station Access Roads Project, which aims to enhance connectivity in the region.
