Yash’s Toxic storms towards Rs 50 crore in advance sales

## Impressive Pre-Release Sales

Yash's upcoming film "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups" is generating significant buzz with advance sales approaching Rs 50 crore. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, is set for a global release on August 26. By August 25, advance bookings had reached around Rs 45.13 crore, with over 10 lakh tickets sold for nearly 20,000 shows.

## Strong Market Performance

Karnataka has emerged as a key market, contributing approximately Rs 17.31 crore in advance sales. Bengaluru alone accounted for Rs 10.67 crore. The Hindi version has also performed well, with over Rs 15 crore in sales from 2D screenings. Premium formats like IMAX and 4DX are expected to further boost the film's opening day figures.

## Competitive Edge

"Toxic" has outpaced several major releases in early sales, selling around 60,000 tickets in top national chains on its first day. This surpasses the initial sales of films like "Animal" and "Dhurandhar." Despite receiving an A certificate in India, limiting its audience to those over 18, the film is poised for a strong opening.

## Star-Studded Cast

The film features a notable cast including Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth. Director Geetu Mohandas shared her journey in cinema at a pre-release event, expressing gratitude to Yash for his support and belief in her vision.

With its impressive pre-release momentum, "Toxic" is anticipated to make a significant impact at the box office upon its release.
