## Key Curriculum Reforms

The UAE Ministry of Education has announced significant updates to the school curriculum for the 2026-2027 academic year. These changes include a restructuring of science courses and the integration of Artificial Intelligence with Design, Innovation, and Computer Science into a new subject called "Artificial Intelligence and Technology."

## Language and Subject Adjustments

Chinese language instruction will be discontinued for kindergarten and early grades, while science and mathematics for Grade 9 students in the Advanced track will now be taught in English. The Arabic language curriculum will see updates to enhance learning outcomes and skills progression.

## Science and Mathematics Overhaul

The science curriculum for Grades 9 and 10 in the General Education track and physics for Grades 10 to 12 in the Advanced track will be restructured. Mathematics content for Grade 5 will also be reorganized, and the number of weekly math periods for Grades 3 and 4 will be reduced.

## Moral and Social Education

The Moral Education curriculum will now include "Al San’", focusing on UAE's traditional social and cultural values. Comprehensive guides for social studies and moral education have been developed for the third educational cycle.
