Toxic box office update: Yash's film opens to Rs 1.4 billion worldwide, beats Jawan and Animal's Day 1 earnings

## Record-Breaking Debut

Yash's latest film, "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups," has made a significant impact at the box office, earning Rs 1.4 billion globally on its first day. This impressive figure surpasses the opening day earnings of other major films like "Jawan" and "Animal."

## Strong Domestic Performance

In India, "Toxic" collected Rs 101.10 crore net on its opening day, with a gross of Rs 120.75 crore from 24,579 shows. The film's earnings were bolstered by strong performances across various language markets, including Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.

## Global Success

The film's worldwide gross reached Rs 140.75 crore on its first day, outpacing several other major releases. However, it fell short of Yash's previous record with "KGF Chapter 2," which earned Rs 164 crore on its debut.

## Advance Bookings

"Toxic" benefited from substantial advance bookings, with over 18.48 lakh tickets sold, generating Rs 73.43 crore before its release.

## Mixed Critical Reception

Despite its financial success, "Toxic" has received mixed reviews. Critics have pointed out issues with the film's narrative coherence and lengthy runtime, drawing comparisons to the 2019 film "Saaho."

## Film Details

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, "Toxic" is set in post-independence Goa and explores themes of loyalty and redemption. Yash stars in a dual role, supported by a cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, and Huma Qureshi. The film's music is composed by Ravi Basrur and Vishal Mishra, with cinematography by Rajeev Ravi.
