How Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man death sets up Doomsday collapse — and what it costs the Avengers to face him

## Iron Man's Influence on the Avengers

The death of Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man in "Endgame" continues to impact the Marvel Cinematic Universe, setting the stage for a new threat. The upcoming film "Avengers: Doomsday" introduces Victor Von Doom, a formidable adversary who shares the face of Tony Stark, complicating the emotional landscape for the Avengers.

## Doom's Multiversal Ambitions

Unlike previous villains, Doom seeks control over the multiverse, presenting a unique challenge. His resemblance to Stark adds a layer of emotional complexity, as the Avengers grapple with their grief and memories of their fallen comrade.

## Emotional Complexity and Tactical Challenges

Director Joe Russo emphasizes that "Doomsday" will focus on emotional depth rather than sheer spectacle. The film explores how the Avengers' hesitation, stemming from their emotional ties to Stark, could hinder their ability to fight effectively against Doom.

## The Battle Strategy

The Avengers, alongside the Fantastic Four and X-Men, must construct massive cannons on parallel Earths to prevent multiverse collapse. This strategy involves splitting into teams to defend these cannons from Doom's forces, which include multiple versions of himself.

## Potential Allies and Enemies

Speculation suggests that some heroes might switch sides, aligning with Doom due to manipulation or personal motives. This internal conflict could further complicate the Avengers' efforts to stop Doom.

## The Stakes

The film promises a complex battle where victory is not guaranteed. The Avengers must overcome their emotional struggles and unite to face a threat that challenges them on multiple fronts, both physically and psychologically.
