## New Freighter Services to Mumbai and Ahmedabad
Emirates SkyCargo is enhancing its operations in India by introducing two new weekly freighter services. These flights will connect Dubai with Mumbai and Ahmedabad, starting March 4, 2026. This expansion aims to support the growing trade between India and global markets, with an expected uplift of 3,000 tonnes of cargo weekly.
## Strengthening Trade Links
The new services will complement the existing three weekly freighters and 167 passenger flights that carry bellyhold cargo to nine Indian cities. The Mumbai service will include stops in Singapore, while the Ahmedabad flight will be a direct route from Dubai. These freighters will primarily transport pharmaceuticals, perishables, and electronics, which are in high demand.
## Supporting Economic Growth
The expansion aligns with the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which has significantly boosted bilateral trade. Emirates SkyCargo plays a crucial role in this growth by transporting essential goods such as pharmaceuticals, perishables, textiles, and electronics.
## Extensive Network and Infrastructure
Beyond air freight, Emirates SkyCargo has developed a robust trucking network across India, moving thousands of tonnes of cargo annually. This includes temperature-controlled trucks for sensitive goods like pharmaceuticals. The recent addition of Coimbatore and Goa as offline stations further extends their reach, providing more opportunities for Indian businesses to access international markets.
## Long-standing Commitment to India
Since launching operations in India in 1985, Emirates SkyCargo has expanded its network to nine cities, reinforcing its position as a key player in facilitating trade between India and the world.
