President Donald Trump announced he will observe the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks at the Pentagon. This decision comes amid reports suggesting he opted out of attending the New York memorial due to a disagreement over speech permissions.

## Denial of Skipping New York

Trump refuted claims that he avoided the New York ceremony because of a dispute over speaking at the event. He emphasized his commitment to honoring the victims and first responders of the tragic day, stating that his presence at the Pentagon is to pay tribute to those who lost their lives.

## Administration Representation

While Trump will be at the Pentagon, Vice President JD Vance is expected to be in New York, ensuring that all three attack sites are represented by administration officials. The White House confirmed this arrangement, highlighting the importance of remembering the nearly 3,000 lives lost on that day.

## Social Media Response

In response to the New York Times report, Trump criticized the publication and one of its journalists on his social media platform, Truth Social. He dismissed the report as "corrupt news" and reiterated his respect for the solemn nature of the New York ceremony.
