Ely Buendia, Chito Miranda take OPM back to Dubai: 2 rock icons, 2 bands, one night of nostalgia

## A Night of Filipino Music Nostalgia

On August 30, 2026, Ely Buendia and Chito Miranda, two iconic figures in Original Pilipino Music (OPM), will perform in Dubai at the Coca-Cola Arena. This event promises a night filled with nostalgia for fans of Eraserheads and Parokya ni Edgar.

## Separate Performances

While both artists will headline the event, they will perform separate sets with their own bands. Ely Buendia will draw from his solo work and Eraserheads' classics, while Chito Miranda will deliver hits from Parokya ni Edgar.

The concert is more than just music; it's a celebration of memories for many overseas Filipino workers in the UAE. These songs are reminders of youth, friendships, and the vibrant culture of the Philippines.

## The Legacy of Ely and Chito

Ely Buendia and Chito Miranda have left a significant mark on Filipino music. Eraserheads, formed in 1989, became a cultural phenomenon, while Parokya ni Edgar's humor and catchy tunes have made them a staple in the OPM scene.
