'God saved us all': 36-member Malayali group caught in Nepal flash floods returns to Keralam

## Group Narrowly Escapes Disaster

A group of 36 Malayali tourists narrowly escaped flash floods in Nepal and have safely returned to Kerala. The group was traveling near the Nepal border when the disaster struck, forcing them to change their route. They managed to cross the border and reach Gorakhpur Airport in Uttar Pradesh before flying back to India.

## Harrowing Experience

The tourists described the flood as resembling a tsunami, with water levels rising rapidly. Initially unaware of the severity, they soon realized the danger and sought refuge. The group faced challenges, including a lack of food, but were eventually assisted by their travel agency to find safe accommodation.

## Gratitude for Survival

Many in the group expressed gratitude for their survival, attributing their safety to divine intervention. They were in Nepal during the Onam festival and had stopped at a temple, which they believe saved their lives.

## Ongoing Concerns in Nepal

Meanwhile, Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has issued warnings due to increased water flow in the Bhote Koshi River. Residents in affected areas are advised to remain cautious as emergency services remain on alert.
