## Nationwide Enforcement Campaign
Saudi Arabia has deported over 14,900 individuals following a week-long crackdown on residency and labor violations. This operation, conducted from August 20 to August 26, involved joint inspections across the Kingdom in collaboration with various government agencies.
## Arrests and Violations
During the campaign, authorities arrested 14,434 people for violations related to residency, labor, and border security. Specifically, 6,976 were detained for residency infractions, 4,110 for border security breaches, and 3,348 for labor law violations. Additionally, 1,450 individuals were apprehended while attempting to enter the country illegally.
## Nationalities and Further Actions
Among those caught at the border, Ethiopians made up 58%, Yemenis 41%, and other nationalities 1%. Authorities also detained 27 individuals accused of facilitating illegal residency by providing transportation, shelter, or employment.
## Legal Consequences
The Interior Ministry emphasized that those who assist illegal residents could face severe penalties, including up to 15 years in prison and fines reaching SR1 million. Vehicles and properties used in these activities may also be confiscated.
## Ongoing Procedures
Currently, 29,938 expatriates are undergoing procedures to comply with Saudi Arabia's immigration and residency laws. This includes 18,914 individuals referred to their diplomatic missions for travel documents and 2,867 completing travel arrangements.
