A heated argument between two brothers in Cairo's Maadi district over the care of their elderly mother escalated into violence, resulting in one brother stabbing the other four times.

## Details of the Incident

The altercation reportedly began when both siblings claimed they were better suited to look after their mother. Tensions rose further when one brother, a mechanic, accused the other's wife of mistreating their mother. The disagreement turned physical, and the mechanic allegedly used a knife during the fight.

## Victim's Condition

The victim sustained one stab wound to his back and three to his thigh. He was rushed to Mabarra Maadi Hospital and is in critical condition.

## Legal Proceedings

Police responded to the scene and arrested the suspect, who has admitted to the attack. Investigations are ongoing as prosecutors gather statements to determine further legal actions.
