Pakistan drop seven players, two coaches ahead of 3rd Test

## Major Squad Changes

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced significant changes to its Test cricket squad and coaching staff following consecutive losses to England. Seven players, including Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq, have been dropped ahead of the third Test in Birmingham. The PCB has introduced seven new players, five of whom are uncapped.

## New Additions

Among the new recruits are Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal, who have prior Test experience. Arafat Minhas, known for his left-arm spin and all-round capabilities, joins the squad alongside newcomers Mohammad Imran Jnr, Saad Baig, Mohammad Imran (also known as Imran Randhawa), and Razaullah. Saad Baig, a wicketkeeper-batter, was recently named Player of the Tournament in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

## Coaching Staff Overhaul

In addition to player changes, the PCB has revamped its coaching team. Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke will replace Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul, who have been relieved of their duties.

## Context of Changes

These adjustments come after Pakistan's 194-run defeat to England at Lord’s, which secured England a 2-0 lead in the series. The new squad aims to turn the tide in the upcoming match in Birmingham.
