## Overview of ILOE Compensation
The Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) insurance in the UAE offers temporary financial support to employees in the private sector and federal government who lose their jobs due to termination. This scheme provides a safety net while individuals seek new employment opportunities.
## Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for ILOE compensation, employees must have been enrolled in the scheme for at least 12 consecutive months and have paid all premiums on time. Eligibility is restricted to those who lost their jobs due to termination, not resignation or disciplinary dismissal.
## When Compensation Stops
ILOE payouts cease under several conditions:
- Reaching the maximum payout limit of three months per insurance certificate. - Accumulating a total of 12 months of compensation across all certificates during employment in the UAE. - The insured's death, with coverage ending from the date of death. - Securing new employment or leaving the country before the three-month payout period concludes.
## Compensation Amounts
The compensation is calculated as 60% of the average monthly basic salary over the 12 months preceding job loss. The payout is capped based on salary categories:
- Category A: Basic salary of Dh16,000 or less, with a maximum monthly compensation of Dh10,000. - Category B: Basic salary above Dh16,000, with a maximum monthly compensation of Dh20,000.
Payments are made for up to three months per claim, or until new employment is secured or the individual exits the UAE, whichever occurs first.
## Filing a Claim
Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the employment contract ending or the resolution of any related labor dispute. The official ILOE website is the designated platform for filing claims.
