## Search Efforts Intensify for Missing Indian Student
The Consulate General of India in San Francisco has expressed serious concern over the disappearance of Saketh Sreenivasaiah, a 22-year-old postgraduate student from Karnataka, India, studying at the University of California, Berkeley. Authorities are actively searching the East Bay area, particularly near Lake Anza, where he was last seen.
## Details of the Disappearance
Sreenivasaiah was reportedly upset about a personal relationship before he went missing. His belongings, including a backpack with his passport and laptop, were discovered on a doorstep in the Park Hills neighborhood adjacent to Tilden Regional Park. The Berkeley Police Department is collaborating with the East Bay Regional Park District to coordinate search efforts and has appealed to the public for assistance in locating him.
## Description and Background
Sreenivasaiah is described as six feet one inch tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in the 1700 block of Dwight Way, near McGee Avenue. Pursuing a Master's degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at UC Berkeley, he previously completed his undergraduate studies at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
## Diplomatic Involvement
The Indian Consulate is in contact with both the family and local authorities to aid in the search. The case has garnered significant attention from the Indian diplomatic mission in the United States as efforts continue to locate the missing student.
