Crazy record: This cricketer takes a 62-mile run-up to bowl one ball

## Record-Breaking Attempt

Sam Bodoano, a 22-year-old cricketer from Surrey, embarked on a remarkable journey to set a new Guinness World Record. He ran 62 miles before bowling a single cricket ball, aiming to achieve the longest bowling run-up by a male.

## The Journey

Bodoano began his challenge at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, running for approximately 14 hours to reach Valley End Cricket Club in Woking. Throughout the run, he carried a cricket ball and wore full cricket whites, maintaining his focus despite the fatigue.

## Motivation and Cause

Inspired by a previous 24km record, Bodoano's effort was not just for personal achievement. He raised nearly £6,000 for The Ruth Strauss Foundation, a cancer charity, highlighting the dual purpose of his endeavor.

## Awaiting Official Recognition

While Bodoano completed the requirements for the record, including participating in a cricket match after his run, official recognition from Guinness World Records is pending. His application is currently under review.
