## Tragic Incident in Satya Niketan

A building collapse in Delhi's Satya Niketan area has resulted in the death of one person and injuries to several others. The incident occurred during repair work in the basement of the structure, which was reportedly 40-50 years old and served as a student accommodation.

## Government Response

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sorrow over the tragedy, emphasizing that authorities are actively working to assist those affected. He conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished for the quick recovery of the injured.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed his distress over the incident. He canceled his scheduled events in Goa to focus on the situation in Delhi. Shah communicated with Delhi's Chief Minister, the police commissioner, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) chief to assess the situation and ensure coordinated rescue efforts.

## Rescue Operations

The local administration and NDRF are conducting intensive rescue operations. Efforts are being made to provide immediate medical assistance to those injured. Bharatiya Janata Party's National President Nitin Nabin also reached out to Delhi's Chief Minister to discuss ongoing relief efforts.
