## Court Ruling on Misappropriation
An Abu Dhabi court has mandated a former public relations manager to return over Dh290,000 to his previous employer. The court found that the manager had misused funds allocated for business transactions.
## Details of the Case
The manager, who was employed under an open-ended contract with a monthly salary of Dh17,000, was entrusted with a power of attorney to manage company dealings. The company regularly transferred funds to him for official procedures and expenses.
## Misuse of Funds
An internal audit revealed that the manager had diverted the funds for personal use and failed to return the remaining amounts. The company claimed Dh266,227 for advances and transaction funds, along with Dh28,077 for mobile phones purchased but not delivered to the company.
## Court Decision
The court concluded that the manager breached his duties by unlawfully retaining the funds. He has been ordered to repay the full amount, including legal costs.
