## GCC's Economic Growth

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has emerged as one of the world's top 10 economies, boasting a GDP of approximately $2.4 trillion. This achievement is attributed to the region's strategic integration, which has bolstered investment and economic diversification.

## Key Drivers of Success

Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, the GCC Secretary-General, highlighted the role of Gulf integration in enhancing the economic stature of member states. The integration has facilitated the development of infrastructure and market stability, even amid regional challenges. The GCC's collective efforts since its inception in 1981, including initiatives like the Free Trade Area and Customs Union, have been pivotal.

## Investment and Economic Resilience

The GCC's sovereign wealth assets have surpassed $5 trillion, while bank assets are around $3.9 trillion. The region's focus on emerging technologies, renewable energy, and other future sectors has opened new investment avenues. Inward foreign direct investment reached about $792.7 billion in 2025, with significant intra-GCC investments.
