## New Penalties for Employers

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior has announced strict penalties for employers who allow their workers to take jobs outside their legal employment arrangements. Violators could face up to six months in jail and a fine of SR100,000.

## Recruitment Ban

In addition to fines and imprisonment, employers found guilty will be prohibited from recruiting new workers for up to five years. This measure is part of the Kingdom's efforts to enforce residency, labor, and border security regulations.

## Compliance and Reporting

Authorities are urging both employers and workers to adhere to these regulations. The public is encouraged to report any violations by contacting 911 in major cities like Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 in other areas of Saudi Arabia.
