Abu Dhabi launches Emirati hospitality standards for hotels

## New Hospitality Standards

Abu Dhabi has announced the introduction of "Emirati Hospitality Standards" for hotels and hotel apartments, aiming to integrate UAE culture and traditions into the guest experience by 2027. This initiative, led by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, will see the implementation of 65 standards across eight stages of the guest journey.

## Cultural Integration

The standards are designed to offer guests a unique experience that reflects the UAE's heritage. This includes serving traditional Emirati coffee and dates, offering dishes made with local ingredients, and training hotel staff on the UAE's cultural history. These measures aim to enhance the national identity within the hospitality sector.

## Strategic Alignment

The initiative aligns with the UAE National Identity Strategy and supports Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030. The goal is to position Abu Dhabi as a leading global tourism destination while maintaining a strong connection to its cultural roots. The standards were developed in collaboration with the National Projects Office and the National Identity Committee, emphasizing the empowerment of Emirati human resources and society.
