## Trade Surge at Hatta Crossing

In the first half of 2026, trade through the Hatta Customs Crossing increased by 175%, reaching Dh37.08 billion. This growth is attributed to a significant rise in truck traffic, with over 108,000 loaded trucks crossing the border, more than doubling from the previous year.

## Increased Traffic and Customs Innovations

The Hatta crossing also saw a rise in traveler numbers, with over 919,000 people and 322,000 light vehicles passing through. The number of buses crossing increased by 77.5%. Dubai Customs attributes this growth to strategic measures aimed at maintaining trade flow and supply chain continuity amid regional economic shifts.

## Technological Advancements

Dubai Customs has implemented technological solutions such as the Shahin smart electronic seal system, which was used on 7,870 trucks. This system enhances shipment security and reliability without additional costs to customers.

## Customs Inspections
