Dubai World Trade Centre Q4 2026 events calendar: DEC expansion advances with Dh10b investment

## Busy Event Schedule

The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) is set to host over 100 exhibitions, conferences, and business events in the last quarter of 2026. These events will take place across two venues: the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) at Expo City Dubai.

## Major Events and Participants

The fourth quarter will feature significant international exhibitions such as DUPHAT, Middle East Energy, and Arabian Travel Market in September. October will see events like Arab Lab, WETEX, and the World Green Economy Summit. The year will conclude with GITEX Global in December, expected to attract over 200,000 technology executives and 6,800 exhibitors from more than 180 countries.

## DEC Expansion Progress

The DEC is undergoing a three-phase expansion with a Dh10 billion investment. Phase 1 was completed in early 2026, increasing the indoor event space to 140,000 square meters and accommodating 50,000 daily visitors. Phase 2 is underway, aiming to expand the space to 160,000 square meters and increase capacity to 60,000 visitors. The expansion will include new infrastructure such as an extended concourse and additional parking.

## Long-term Goals

By 2031, the DEC aims to cover 180,000 square meters and host over 20 simultaneous events, with a daily capacity of 65,000 visitors. This expansion is part of DWTC's strategy to boost its economic contribution to Dh54 billion annually by 2033, aligning with Dubai's Economic Agenda (D33).
