## Incident Overview

Two young football players from Tala Sports Club tragically drowned during a training camp in Gamasa, located on Egypt's Mediterranean coast. The incident occurred when four players went swimming and were caught by strong currents. While two were rescued, the other two, Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed Al Sabahi and Abdullah Omar Abu Taleb, lost their lives.

## Rescue Efforts

Rescue teams were dispatched after the players were reported missing. The body of Ahmed was recovered shortly after the incident, and Abdullah's body was found the following morning. One of the rescued players remains in critical condition in the hospital.

## Club's Response

In response to the tragedy, Tala Sports Club has suspended all activities for three days as a mark of respect. Hazem Saadallah, head of the club's interim management committee, stated that the training camp was unauthorized and that the club had not approved any such activity. The club plans to take legal action and has called for an investigation to determine accountability.

## Organizers' Statement

Ahmed Hamdy, one of the camp organizers, admitted responsibility for the incident. He mentioned that the players had left their accommodation under the pretense of buying breakfast before heading to the beach, despite previous instructions not to swim alone.
