## A Decade of Cultural Milestones

Dubai Opera marks its 10th anniversary as a cultural beacon in the UAE. Under the leadership of Lara Ewing, the venue has become a hub for diverse performances, from classical opera to stand-up comedy. Ewing reflects on the journey, recalling the early days when the venue was still under construction and the challenges of preparing for its grand opening in August 2016.

## Versatile Performances

The opera house is renowned for its ability to host a wide range of events. Its stage can transform to accommodate everything from symphony orchestras to comedy shows, thanks to advanced engineering that allows for rapid changes in setup. This adaptability has enabled Dubai Opera to host unique events like Viennese balls and even indoor rainstorms for theatrical productions.

## Upcoming Season Highlights

The 2026–2027 season promises exciting new experiences, including world premieres and performances by artists new to Dubai. The season kicks off with a gala featuring soprano Fatma Said and the UAE National Orchestra, followed by the Ukrainian National Ballet's rendition of "The Marriage of Figaro." Other highlights include performances by the Gipsy Kings Symphonic and two exclusive comedy nights with Trevor Noah.

## Commitment to Excellence

Maintaining the venue's high standards requires constant effort from the dedicated team.
